Jesus did not give us an inferior message to preach.
God wants a people that are willing to say YES to the mission of bringing Heaven to Earth. This is what Jesus preached. This is what He demonstrated. This is what I preach. And this is what I demonstrate. It’s what my heart burns for every single day, to see things “in Earth as in Heaven.” It’s personal to me. I want to see things in my home, my marriage, my health and my church as it is in Heaven. Or I will pray for my city, that things will be in New York as it is in heaven. This is the way Jesus taught His disciples to pray in the infamous “Lord’s Prayer” in Matthew 6. “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in Earth as it is in Heaven.” It really should have been dubbed the Disciple’s Prayer because our Lord was teaching His disciples how to pray as a guideline to follow.
Many of the promises that the Lord has sprinkled throughout the Bible are still waiting for adoption. For example, Jesus also told us to make disciples of nations, not just individuals.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” – Matthew 28:19
When he told us to disciple nations it was because it was possible!
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
There’s an end that’s coming that only the gospel of the kingdom being preached can bring. When the entire world…every nation gets a fair chance to experience the Kingdom in the here and now, then the end of this age will come.
That means if you are a follower of Jesus, you OWE the world an encounter with the reality of Heaven before the end comes!
The Kingdom is not in word only but in POWER. The truth that there is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. The end that’s coming is the end of this age and a new age that will begin. A new age where there is no more sorrow, sin, pain, suffering, sickness or poverty. It will be the triumphant reign of the Kingdom of God on Earth. It’s not the end of the world that God created. It’s the end of the world that man created without God. Nations are waiting to be discipled in this 21st Century. It’s going to take fresh creativity, big courage, bright charisma and the collective genius of the grace in us to escort the world into the moment we’ve all been created for…the RETURN of God’s everlasting Kingdom on Earth!
Here are some questions I love to pose to believers I train in Kingdom living. Feel free to share your thoughts.
1.) Do you know what God has called you to do for His Kingdom?
2.) On a scale of 1-5, how much does your career or career choice line up to your calling?
3.) Are your current life’s choices being based on calling concerning the Father’s business or personal ambition?
4.) How much of Heaven are you bringing to Earth? What steps can you take today to bring more of Heaven to the environment around you?
5.) What issue in the world do you have the most compassion for?
Compassion is an indication of a calling!
